Welcome Speech

WELCOME SPEECH

Indeed, it’s a matter of great pride and pleasure to get such an opportunity to welcome my dear juniors, the new comers to HMYHSS on this fabulous Fresher’s Day. And immensely happy to welcome all my respected teachers to the WELCOME PROGRAMME of 2009: the honorable principal Mr. CK, the most bumble and simple man on earth, I would say…
and our chief guest Mr.………… and Mr.…………….
……………… …………………………. ………………….

And of course, I’m here to just formally welcome my dear friends, classmates and parents and guests to this unique day of our own to share our feeling and thoughts, hopes and aspirations, dreams and ambitions….

The welcome program is, perhaps, not a new idea in
Plus-two Campuses of today. But how many of you know that it was the realization of a new concept got its blood and life in this school campus, yes, it first started in our own HMYHSS, Manjeri in September 1998 when Pre-Degree was de-linked and there started plus-two courses in High Schools in Kerala.

Welcome Programme is a friendship day.
WElcome generates a we-feeling among us.
It is to realize one another in the busy days of eight-hour class-room teaching. It’s a day to breathe the fresh air of novel ideas and fresh relationship. To recognize and acknowledge fresh talents among us.
It promotes love and brotherhood.
The HMY fraternity is out here to understand ourselves.

Moreover this is a family get-together. The HMY family has gathered here to celebrate the delightful commencement of a new academic year.

We have created a miniature India here with her hallmark “unity in diversity”. Let’s be proud of our state, the God’s own Country,
Kerala where people live in harmony as we sit here with
that feeling of oneness.

May I stop here.
Let’s be worthy of our Nation, and the Society we live and the School we study in. God bless you…

Once again warm welcome to you fresh girls and boys over there, best wishes to all the new friends.
Take care.
